Innovation & Impact
- Network Connectivity: We deliver secure, high-performance internet access and data center connectivity to both in-scope and out-of-scope state offices through Louisiana's statewide private backbone (LaNet) and redundant consolidated internet connections. We are actively modernizing legacy LAN and WAN infrastructure across the state using software-defined networking (SDN) technology to increase bandwidth, strengthen cybersecurity posture, improve resiliency, and reduce long-term operational costs — supporting a stable and scalable statewide network environment.
- Communications Services: We design, implement, and manage comprehensive voice communication solutions — including Standard Dialtone, Non-Standard Dialtone, and Hosted Voice Services — for both in-scope and out-of-scope agencies statewide. We also deploy and administer specialized call handling applications, including automatic call distribution (ACD) and interactive voice response (IVR) systems, to support agency operations at every scale and improve customer interaction capabilities.
- Consulting & Project Management: We provide expert guidance to agencies on network and telecommunications management planning and related initiatives. Our team manages projects involving agency relocations and system acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions and implementations that align with statewide architecture and OTS security standards. We also develop technical specifications to support state network and telecommunications contracts and coordinate with vendors throughout project delivery.
- Problem Resolution: NCS provides 24x7 operational support to maintain service continuity across the statewide network and telecommunications environment. We collaborate with vendors and internal OTS support teams to promptly identify, escalate, and resolve service disruptions — minimizing operational impact and protecting agency productivity across all supported services.
- Telecommunications Management: We oversee the acquisition, billing validation, inventory management, and lifecycle tracking of state government telecommunications systems and services. Utilizing the MySoft telecommunications expense management system, we ensure accurate tracking and reporting of statewide telecom expenditures, while also serving as the security administrator for the NCS billing portal — promoting cost transparency, accountability, and consistent service delivery.
- Cable & Infrastructure Consulting: We support agencies with structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure projects through the Statewide Complex Cable and Wire contract. Our team ensures installations meet technical standards, security requirements, and customer specifications by leveraging deep knowledge of cabling, electrical systems, and approved vendors — reinforcing a reliable foundation for long-term agency connectivity.
