About OTS

Since it was created, Office of Technology Services (OTS) has shifted from a decentralized IT model to a more unified, shared services approach. This change has helped us save money on software, hardware, and maintenance by taking advantage of bulk purchasing. It's also helped us use our resources more efficiently, cut down on duplication, and bring things like project management, staffing, and procurement under one roof.

Now, multiple state agencies use the same systems for things like data storage, applications, network access, and server virtualization. By moving all our IT equipment into just two state-run data centers, we've significantly reduced costs and improved reliability. We've also been able to streamline our software licenses and equipment warranties, making sure we're only paying for what we actually need.
