Discrimination Victims Benefit from Improved Systems to Handle
A redesigned website and complaint system streamlines discrimination reporting and reduces case backlogs.
BATON ROUGE, La. - The Louisiana Human Rights Commission launches a redesigned website and complaint system that streamlines how residents report discrimination, eliminating manual data handling and reducing case backlogs.
The Office of Technology Services partners with LHRC to deliver a user-friendly, mobile-responsive website that meets WCAG accessibility standards. A new discrimination complaint form connects directly to an automated system that feeds into federal compliance reporting, removing the duplicate data and manual queue reviews that previously slowed operations.
LHRC staff now spend less time on routine data inspections and more time reviewing discrimination cases. The streamlined process allows the organization to respond faster to urgent matters and provide better support to Louisianians affected by discrimination in employment, lending, and housing.
The improvements create a sustainable framework for future updates, ensuring the system remains compliant and accessible as standards evolve. Both the public and LHRC benefit from a smoother, more transparent process that upholds fairness and equal opportunity for all Louisiana residents.
