DeKaya Guillory Fontenot is an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with over 19 years of experience leading financial strategy, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance within the public sector. With deep expertise in financial operations, budget development and adherence, and client relationship management, she brings a strategic and results-driven approach to fiscal leadership.

In her current role as CFO for a major state government agency, she oversees technology budget, procurement, fleet, property and financial operations. She has successfully implemented streamlined processes and best practices that have significantly improved efficiency, accountability, and cost-effectiveness.

DeKaya has held a range of progressive leadership roles in state government across budget administration and executive financial management. She has managed multi-billion-dollar budgets, led cross-functional teams, and directed financial planning, forecasting, and capital investment strategies with a consistent focus on aligning financial resources with organizational goals.

She holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern University A&M College, along with a Purchasing & Supply Management Certificate from LSU.
